FAQs

  • Why is fitness important to you?
    • Deven – I’ve had a passion for bodybuilding and fitness since I was a kid. I was never much of a team sports guy, so I didn’t do much in the way of sports or fitness as a kid. As I got older, I hit a real low spot in my life. I struggled with alcoholism so when I started lifting it helped motivate me to stay sober and live a clean life style.
    • Lauren – I grew up in a military family, so competition and fitness were always very important. I learned to push myself playing soccer and later running became my passion. It gives me a freedom and clarity that I can’t find anywhere else. I took that passion and used it as my field of study in college.
  • Where do you like training?
    • Deven – I’m a big fan of large gyms with lots of people. It really makes me push myself, so I train at VASA in Orem right now.
    • Lauren – I like things a little lower key and I like to be able to use the equipment I want when I’m ready. My gym of choice is the UVU gym.
  • What made you start a blog about fitness and relationships?
    • After we got married finding a balance between work, school, church, and our relationship was very difficult. We worked at it around the clock. We found life hacks and received advice from other people, but it wasn’t easy information to come by. We want to help other couples that are trying to figure out the balance and share the advice we’ve been given and also provide a space for people to share what work for them and their relationships.
  • Does your advice only apply to couples?
    • Anyone can use our advice! It’s focused-on couples but can be applied to anyone regardless of the Facebook relationship status.
  • Is it ever too late to start working out?
    • It’s never too late to start working out and getting in better shape, but you should always consult with a doctor before starting any serious training plan.
